Does warranty cover my transmission?

have a 99 infiniti g20 with warranty. transmission is very harsh and it slip in 5th gear, the synchros are real bad in 2nd gear, rpms max is at 8000, but if rpms is above 4000 can't shift. would my warranty cover it or is it a wear and tear thing. live in ma, my car is still under warranty and they are responsible for car effects
