Would wearing a plaid scarf like this make me look like a poseur?

how do you get your scarves to look like that? i want to wear them in that way but i seriously can't figure it out. i always end up just tying them normally because it will NOT work for me, hah. but that wouldn't make you look like a poser, if you like scarves, you're not being fake! scarves are fab!
