Im 16 years old and have just been diagnosed with depression..noone understands..and i want to die..please hel?

a couple of weeks back i wa diagnosed by my doctor (after suffering for around 3 years) ..family and school and that have only just found out... my friend went and gred me in to my head of year after she couldnt cope with it :/ now noone understands..im having counselling and have got an essment tomorrow for meds but nothings helping , i just dont want to be here no more :'( noone understands and dont say talk to my family because i cant they all think im selfish :( im so shy as it is and i just cant cope now :'( please help xxx
